A hit reality TV show about Bigfoot is filming in Adams County when one of the main stars, Scott Nicholl, goes missing. As criminal investigator Larry Macklin interviews members of the cast and crew, he quickly learns that Nicholl isn’t the most likable person and has a long history of loving and leaving women. The possibility that someone intentionally disappeared him looks more and more likely.

Before Larry can finish the initial interviews, a body part is found in the lake near one of the houses rented by the production. Predictably, the local media descends on the lake, attracted by the combination of blood and celebrity.

No fan of the media, it doesn’t take long for Larry to wind up on the wrong side of reporter Tina Knightly. And the situation only gets worse when her cameraman is found dead at the same house where Nicholl was staying, making Knightly a suspect in both murders. To defend herself, Knightly launches a character assassination campaign against Larry and everyone he holds dear.
